Ritger Legacy Summer Bowling Camps and Coach Training

Summer 2024 will mark the 47th year of the Ritger Legacy Bowling Camps across the United States. We will again offer programs in many different locations. Check out our schedule and reserve your spot in one of our proven, successful clinics…you will be glad you did!

T.A.C.S. Bowler Training

Our T.A.C.S. (Targeting, Accuracy, Consistency, and Spare Shooting) bowling camp is our signature training camp. Offered in three & four day formats, the class will focus on developing the physical game, release, accuracy, lane play and spare shooting. All bowlers will receive an individual evaluation and before and after video taping. Open to bowlers of all skills levels.

Two-day Advanced Clinics

The Two-Day Refresher program is offered to students who have attended one of our camps or clinics in the past or those males who average 180+ or females who average 170+. The Two-Day Refresher clinic is engineered to enhance the intermediate to advanced bowlers skills, develop stronger leverage, increase accuracy, and introduce bowlers to advanced adjustment systems. The two-day refresher is perfect for bowlers who need a tune up to their game and also those who are ready to take their game to the next level. The Tournament Training Clinic targets advanced bowlers who are tournament level players who wish to tune-up his/her physical game. Also students will learn advanced adjustment and lane play strategies, mental game training, and plastic ball spare systems.

Coach Training & Certification

Coaches learning the kneel down drill at a coach training program

Our Coach Training Programs, introduce coaches to the skill drills and proven techniques that have made the Ritger bowling camps famous around the world. Coaches will learn how to train bowlers in the physical game, the science of reading and adjusting to lane conditions, and corrective drills to quickly convey the “Feelings of Bowling” to the student. Coaches will experience hands-on training from one of our expert coaches with more that a quarter century of experience.

Kelly Kulick is a camp graduate of the Dick Ritger Bowling Camps and is a lead instructor when time allows in her busy schedule.

Camp Overview

Dick Ritger Bowling Camps have provided thousands of students with professional bowling instruction that has resulted in dramatic improvement of their performance. Among our graduates we celebrate Kelly Kulick, Patrick Allen, and many others who have reached the top of college, youth and Professional rankings.

The Ritger Method incorporates exclusive methods of teaching, with a bowler’s physical game improved by working within the comfort of their ‘style’. We teach a progression of bowling fundamentals that ensure success.

Bowling camp highlights that will be covered in depth include:

  • Physical aspects including release, balance and timing
  • Reading Lanes
  • Strike pocket adjustments
  • Spare shooting

The result is that you will consistently make shots, adjust to lanes more quickly and convert a higher percentage of your spares; overall becoming a more knowledgeable and efficient bowler.
