Camp Overview
For over fourty years the Dick Ritger Bowling Camps have provided thousands of students with professional bowling instruction that has resulted in dramatic improvement of their performance. Among our graduates we celebrate Kelly Kulick, Patrick Allen, and many others who have reached the top of college, youth and Professional rankings.
The Ritger Method incorporates exclusive methods of teaching, with a bowler’s physical game improved by working within the comfort of their ‘style’. We teach a progression of bowling fundamentals that insure success.
Bowling camp highlights that will be covered in depth inlcude:
- Physical aspects including release, balance and timing
- Reading Lanes
- Strike pocket adjustments
- Spare shooting
The result is that you will consistently make shots, adjust to lanes more quickly and convert a higher percentage of your spares; overall becoming a more knowledgeable and efficient bowler.
Based on the teachings of world renowned bowling educator and PBA Hall of Fame bowler Dick Ritger, our teaching methods have been tested and proven successful. When it comes to bowling coaching, the first name frequently mentioned is Dick Ritger. His legacy and influence lives on in the coaches he has trained and the bowlers he has taught.
The Ritger Experience! Bowlers who attend a Dick Ritger bowling program often find it a moving experience that exceeds bowling. In the process, you establish techniques to help improve your game, analytical skills to enhance your understanding of the sport and new friendships that often will last a lifetime. We incorporate the use of video tape to show each bowler the improvement they have made. In our ‘returning’ program we also use video to highlight the release and rotation. Most of the bowler’s time is spent on the lane working on what they need to change, using the adjustment systems provided to find the strike pocket and convert spares.
Kelly Kulick is a camp graduate of the Dick Ritger Bowling Camps and is a lead instructor when time allows in her busy schedule.
